1912 Liberty Head V Nickel - G06 Condition, No liberty in headband
The Liberty Head nickel, also known as the "V" nickel due to the Roman numeral V on the back, was minted from 1883 to 1913. It features the head of Lady Liberty on the front and a wreath and the denomination on the back. The design was created by Charles E. Barber and replaced the previous Shield nickel. The Liberty Head nickel was the first to feature a copper-nickel alloy, making it harder and more durable than previous nickel coins. These coins are popular among collectors due to their historical significance and unique design.
